Maddy Wilson
Family & Lifestyle Photographer based in Dripping Springs, Texas
Life moves fast, and photography is simply my way of catching all of the good stuff before it slips past. The stuff that feels ordinary now but is precious and impossible to recreate later... like the little grabby hands and pitter-patters of feet, double-chinned chuckles and the quiet in-betweens.
You deserve physical reminders of the life you’re creating. That’s why I’m here.
I believe joy doesn’t need to be staged, and beauty doesn’t need to behave.
My photography is not about forcing moments or asking anyone to be something they are not. Sometimes it looks like barefoot kids running through the yard. Sometimes it looks like a pretty dress, golden light, and being outside together. What matters to me is that it still feels like you.
I believe in being present, and helping you do the same. In a session with me, I'll gently guide you so you feel confident, not forced. We’ll let real life unfold, whether that happens in your living room, a field at sunset, or somewhere in between.
As a mom to a little wild child, this work matters even more deeply to me. I know what it feels like to worry your kids won’t cooperate, to wonder if you should wait until things feel more together, to feel like you aren’t your “best” self in this moment. Motherhood has made me more aware of how quickly everything changes and how meaningful it is to slow down long enough to notice it, even when it doesn't feel all put together.
I believe these seasons deserve to be remembered before they pass. Not once things calm down or feel easier, but while you are in the middle of them, when life feels full and a little fast.
My approach is calm, observant, and flexible. I create space for you to show up fully without pressure to perform. I will guide when it helps and step back when it doesn’t, and after 10 years of experience, I have a knack for this. If your child needs a snack, we snack. If they need to wiggle, we wiggle. If a moment feels good, we stay there. The goal is never perfection. It’s connection.
