Frequently asked questions
What if my kids do not sit still or follow directions?
That's expected! Sessions are designed to allow for movement, curiosity, and your personalities to shine. Some of the most meaningful moments happen when kids are simply being themselves, and when parents don't stress about it.
Do you travel for photoshoots outside of Texas?
Absolutely - "Wandering" is in the name, after all :) I've photographed proposals in Sweden and elopements in Australia, weddings in Colorado and portrait sessions in Malibu. Do you pose us at all? My husband/kid is awkward in front of the camera.
Also expected - lots of people are uncomfortable in front of the camera. I always try my best to put you at ease, and give general tips at the start of every session. I offer guidance and gentle direction to help you feel comfortable and confident throughout, but I am not interested in stiff posing or forced interactions. Your main focus should be on what matters most - enjoying your time together. I'll take care of you, work your best angles, and worry about the rest.
What's your process / how do I book a session with you?
I've been doing this for a decade, and I like to make things as easy as possible for you.
For portrait sessions: fill out my contact form and once we've planned your session and decide on a date, it goes on the calendar. Payment is due on the shoot day, and I deliver final images within 3 weeks of your shoot date.
For birth / weddings, I require a non-refundable deposit and contract to hold your due date/wedding day. For these experiences, I deliver final images 4 weeks out, but always provide some sneak peeks ASAP because I know you're dying to relive these moments!
I don't do messy contracts for portrait sessions, but my firm policy is that if you cancel or no-show for you session, you never get re-booked, and if you're late on payment, you won't get your images until you settle up.
